Visit Thean Hou Temple During Chinese New Year By Appointment Only
Thean Hou Temple located at 65, Persiaran Endah Off Jalan Syed Putra Kuala Lumpur is only open to public for three days i.e. New Year’s Eve (11/2/21), 1st day of Chinese New Year’(12/2/21), and 2nd Day of Chinese New Year (19/2/21), from 6 am to 2 pm subject to the governmental SOP during MCO.
Due to the restriction of the said SOP, the public had been urged by the Management i.e. Persatuan Hainan Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan via the online Press Conference held on 9/2/2021 to make prior appointment via phone calls to the Temple on 10 Feb 2021 from 9am before their visits and only a total of 720 devotees are allowed for prayers at the Temple within these three days.
“We had received overwhelming response from the public since 9am this morning （10 February 2021）. Appointments via emails, whatsapp or other mode of correspondence are not accepted. The appointments were fully booked at 12 noon today.” said the President of Persatuan Hainan Selangor & WP, Datuk Dr. Tang Chai Yoong.
